Synopsis & Info

Song Hye Gyo plays a PD Joo Joon Young (주준영) who has bold and unstoppable personality. Hyun Bin also plays a promising drama PD Jung Ji Oh (정지오). This drama focuses on TV stations by portraying the love and struggle of these 2 PDs during filming their respective projects as well as unfolding male and female staffs' love stories and marriages.

Actress Bae Jong Ok (배종옥) plays a cold-hearted actress with good acting skill. Actor Uhm Ki Joon (엄기준) plays a successful but cold-hearted PD Son Gyoo Ho (손규호). Actress Suh Hyo Rim (서효림) plays a rookie actress Jang Hae Jin (장해진) who has lovely and bright personality. Hae Jin and Gyoo Ho develop a relationship resulted from the conflict between love and ambition. Actor Pan Yoo Gul (판유걸) plays a troublemaker. The supporting cast also includes Yoon Yu Jung and Daniel Choi (윤여정, 최다니엘).

The PD is Pyo Min Soo (표민수) who directed the popular drama "Full House (2004)" led by Song Hye Gyo. The script writer is Noh Hee Gyung (노희경) who wrote for KBS2 drama "We are happy to ask a few questions (우리를 행복하게 하는 몇 가지 질문, 2007)" led by Bae Jong Ok.

Episode One Preview

Joon Young (Song Hye Kyo) is preparing a birthday party for her boyfriend when Ji Oh (Hyun Bin) who is filming a scene met with an accident. The company assigns Joon Young as a replacement director to oversee and continue with the filming. However, she then gets unreasonable requests from the cast members.Ji Oh breaks up with Joon Gi on the eve of the broadcast without even having the chance to meet. After the filming, Joon Young drags her tiring body back home. Selfish thoughts began to occupy her mind when she heard that Ji Oh and Joon Gi had broke up…On the otherhand, Ji Oh manages to recover from the breakup and works hard at work. But all he gets is the angry face of his superior.

Synopsis (+personal thoughts ^^)

This series is based on the famous online Thai BL novel "LOVE SICK : The Chaotic Lives of Blue Shorts Guys" by INDRYTIMES (twitter: @hedshew go say thanks to her for this phenomenal story!), which follows two 17 years old high school boys who eventually fall in love after a deal brought them closer together.

Phun has a girlfriend (Aim) but his father wants him to date his friend's daughter. Phun's little sister, Pang, is obsessed with boys' love.

Phun needs to convince Pang that he has a boyfriend so that she can help talk their father around the idea of dating his friend's daughter.

So he asked Noh to become his fake boyfriend in exchange for helping Noh raising fund for his Music Club.

Although the major storyline here is about Phun & Noh, the series also deals with eclectic teen's issues such as peer pressure, rich vs poor, rivalry, relationships, gangsterism etc.

Sounds similar to Hormones The Series? Nope, not entirely. Love Sick The Series has its own charm & strong points.

Episode 1 could be a bit lacklustre, but give it a chance and you'll find yourself addicted to it by Episode 2.

To date (4th Aug), there are 5 episodes already out & this series has given me diabetes from its too sweet scenes!!!!

Synopsis

Lee Bom-Yi (Sooyoung) undergoes a heart transplant operation. She then tries to live her life positively for the person who donated their heart to her.

Kang Dong-Ha (Kam Woo-Sung) raises cattle. Since he lost wife in an accident, he has raised his two children by himself.

Even though in 2002 Eric and his Shinhwa band mates had cameo appearance in the movie Emergency 19 Act, Eric’s career as an actor really started in 2003 when director Park Sung Soo gave him 0.5 second to make a decision whether taking on a supporting roll for MBC’s series Breathless (I Run). Eric responded with a "Yes" and that opened door to the path of acting. In early 2004, he got a big break with the immensely popular drama Phoenix (Bulsae). Later that year, Eric had a series of Banjun dramas (reversed mini-dramas) from the SBS’s Good Sunday Show. He was recognized for his acting skill and also won MBC Best New Actor Award for Phoenix in the same year. Since then, Eric has stared (lead roles) and expanded his acting repertoire with different types of characters in numerous dramas and movies. Strongest Chil Woo was his last drama before enlisted to the Korean army.

On Oct.31, 2010 with a welcoming of nearly 500 fans on site, Eric was discharged from his army duty. Prior to his discharge, Eric had several drama offers and Poseidon, a big budgeted marine police drama, was to be his comeback drama. Howevever production was put to a haul after the attack by North Korean on Yeonpyeong-do island (where most of Poseidon filming was). After SBS later pulled Poseidon off their scheduled broadcast date, the original cast (Eric, Kim Kang-woo, U-Know Yunho, Kim Ok-bin, Jeon Hye-bin) had moved on to other projects after a long wait. Eric went on to star in KBS Spy Myung-wol as his 1st drama after coming back from his mandatory military service. Poseidon eventually was picked up by KBS with a new cast and a new script/plot.

After discharge from his military service, Eric also worked on negotiation to create Shinhwa own company. The fruit of that labor is Shinhwa Company. Shinhwa Company was born on July 01, 2011 with Eric & Minwoo are co-CEO while all members put in equal share of investment to the company. On March 23 2012, Shinhwa released their 10th album, The Return, followed with concert tours starting with Seoul right on their 14th Anniversary. Shinhwa also has their own variety show, Shinhwa Broadcast, with jTBC with its first broadcast on March 17, 2012. Since the forming of Shinhwa Company, Eric temporary puts his solo activities on hold because he wants to focus on strengthening Shinhwa.

At the end of December 2013, Eric's contract with Top Class Entertainment ended. Eric teams up with his long time manager of more than 10 years to set up a new management company, E&J Entertainment. After 3 years since his last drama, Spy Myungwol, 2014 also marks Eric's comeback to drama with Discovery of Romance. This marks 7-year reunion with Jung Yumi, his co-star in Que Sera Sera.

First introduced to the public at the end of 1997, Eric & Andy rapped for S.E.S.’s hit song “I’m Your Girl”. By early summer of 1998, Eric made a debut as the leader & main rapper for the popular 6 members boy band Shinhwa. The group consist 3 vocalists (Shin Hye Sung, Kim Dong Wan, Lee Min Woo) and 3 rappers (Eric Mun, Park Jun Jin, Andy Lee). Eric also writes rap lyrics and composes for most of Shinhwa’s songs as well some of members’ solo. Beside that, he also features in many songs & music videos for other Korean artists. In 2003, Shinhwa refused to extend the contract with SM Entertainment, which was undoubtedly a big shock in the industry. Eric was the one who negotiated with the management and forking out his own funds to buy back Shinhwa’s name. No one will ever know how much hardship he had to endure during the negotiations. Eric also lowered his fees 3 times so that they can all move to a new management company successfully. Eric & Shinhwa members celebrated their 10th Anniversary in March 2008 which was also their last concert before the members starting to fulfill their mandatory 2-year military service.

Since forming his own management company, Top Class Entertainment in 2007, Eric & Top Class had produced a female duo Honey Dew who made their first debut in May 2010 with their single Like A Fool

Regardless of his popularity, he remains the humble Mun Jung Hyuk, uniting the group with his presence.

"The Genius" is a Korean reality game where 13 people compete in games that test their logical thinking and social skills. There is a total of 12 rounds (or 12 episodes) in a season. One person will be eliminated in every episode, and the final player left standing will be named the champion of the season. Season 3 begins broadcast on 1st Oct 2014, and will air every Wed evening on tvN at 11pm (KST).

Game currency: The currency is in the form of red garnets. Each garnet is worth 1,000,000 won (approximately US$1,000). In the final episode, the champion's garnets are exchanged for real money. Garnets are transferrable and may be gained within the game. All forms of theft and violence are disallowed.

Game mechanics: Each round of game consists of (1) a Main Match and (2) a Death Match, which will take place in that sequence. All players participate in the Main Match to determine the winner(s) and loser(s). Winner(s) is/are given immunity from the Death Match. If there is only one winner, he/she will get an extra immunity for him/her to give to any other player. If there is more than one loser, the winner(s) will choose the elimination candidate among the losers to play the Death Match. The elimination candidate will then have to choose another player without an immunity to participate in the Death Match with him/her. The Death Match game will then be announced and take place between the two elimination candidates. When the Death Match ends, the loser is eliminated from the game and all his/her garnets will be forfeited. The winner will gain a Black Garnet and return with the rest of the players for the next round.

Use of Black Garnets: An elimination candidate in possession of three Black Garnets can exchange them for an opportunity to participate in a Black Mission. Successful completion of the Black Mission exempts the player from the Death Match for that round. The player will then choose another player without an immunity to take his/her place as the elimination candidate.

A little background story :

Kim Dongwan’s parents had divorced and he had grown up without his father. Often been made fun of his family background by his school mates when he was young, Kim Dongwan remained strong, stood up against the negative comments and eventually became the support to his mother. Despite his less fortunate family background, Kim Dongwan had never given up on his dream. Kim Dongwan first appeared as an actor before he became part of Shinhwa.He had always been passionate about acting and was not interested in becoming a singer. He was talented scout on the streets by a SM Entertainment manager to join the company. He told SM Entertainment that he was more interested in acting than in singer but this decision changed after he met the rest of the Shinhwa members officially.

Kim Dongwan made his debut in 1998 as a vocalist in the boy band Shinhwa. Although he isn’t lead vocalist, he began singing bigger parts on Shinhwa’s 7th album, “Brand New”. One song from the album, “Liar”, actually only has Dongwan as the vocalist, along with Eric Mun as the rapper. He also wrote, composed, and arranged a song on the album, titled “Set Free”. Though he had branched out as a solo artist, he is part of Shinhwa and just released Shinhwa’s 9th album.

Dongwan released his debut solo album, ¡°Kimdongwan Is¡±, on July 5, 2007, which featured collaborations with his fellow Shinhwa members, including Andy rapping in the song “Loving Summer,” Shin Hyesung singing a duet with Dongwan in “The One Left Alone,” and Eric rapping in “My Love.” The other members have contributed to the album as well, with Lee Minwoo writing, composing and arranging the song “My Love,” and with Junjin helping him with choreography. Dongwan expressed gratitude for their contributions, saying, “I¡¯ve been working together with the group Shinhwa, thus there was a lot of pressure working on the solo album, but since the other members showed up and helped me with most of it, it has been a great big help for me.¡± Dongwan¡¯s first single was the ballad, “Handkerchief”, a song about a guy who consoles his girlfriend and wipes away her tears. Despite Shinhwa’s genre in music like American R&B and bubblegum pop, Dongwan said he wanted his album to be more Jpop influenced, having redone a song by Glay and Exile in the album.

For the debut album, Dongwan also lost a lot of weight, saying that “it’s not good for a ballad singer to have a muscular image. Someone singing ballads should have a lean, ‘hungry-looking’ image.¡± His album sold over 25,000 copies in two days with 41,490 copies sold by the end of 2007 allowing it to rank 19th for the year. In 2008, he released his 2nd solo album, The Secret; Between Us. The album featured collaborations with Tiffany of SNSD, Jade Valerie, Shinhwa bandmate, Eric and Heritage

Dongwan officially began his military service on November 17, 2008 at an army training camp in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do. He was discharged on 17 December 2010, after serving 24 months as an administrative worker at the Seodaemun-gu District Office.

He's one of the most generous Korean celebrities he has been donating generously to various causes, often without telling the media.

So...I'm plagued with the difficulty of describing myself, unfortunately you'll have to bear with me as I rattle my brain for something interesting to say. I should probably start with why I joined Soompi; I'm an avid listener of k-pop, and k-indie though I'm very open to other genres of music. I also watch a lot of korean dramas and live vicariously through them since my life isn't nearly as extraordinary haha I read manga and watch a lot of anime so if you have any favourites or suggestions be sure to comment about them!

also, I'm entering the Soompi Ulzzang contest again this year! maybe I'll make it as far as I did last year

Jung Joon-young (Hangul: 정준영 Hanja: 鄭俊英 born February 21, 1989) is a Korean rock singer, songwriter and radio DJ, who was born in Indonesia, but raised in China, Europe (England and France) and the Philippines. Jung has lived in ten different countries because his father was an international business man. He had a lonely childhood but learned how to speak five different languages such as English, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino and Korean.

When he taught songs to the children in Philippines at the age of seventeen, he started his dream to be a rock star. He went to South Korea at the age of 19 and assembled his own band "Flowermist" (later "Switch-on") and performed in amateur club theatres as well as busked on the streets in Japan. To achieve his goal of becoming a rock star he worked as a model and appeared on television.

Jung Joon-Young finished in third place on Superstar K4 and since then he has been doing concerts, TV and radio programs(as a guest or a host) and modeling for cars, clothes, games and N-screen. From May 6, 2013, he worked as a DJ for MBC FM4U Close Friend until September 1, 2013. He has appeared on several TV shows including KBS2's "Immortal Song-Singing the Legend 불후의 명곡", "Happy Together 해피투게더" and MBC's "We Got Married 우리결혼했어요" and has been emerging as a versatile entertainer recently.

After signing with CJ E&M, Jung Joon-young released his first debut single "Spotless Mind (병이에요)" with two versions of Music Video(N version and S version) on Oct 01, 2013 and immediately made an impact on the country’s charts. Just an hour after release, “Spotless Mind” nabbed the top spot on Mnet, Bugs and Soribada etc.
