So for example Nick is currently trying to improve his social and conversational skills. Nick knows he is not at a high enough level to chat it up with attractive girls. So he goes after not so attractive girls (Physically-wise) and just starts to chat with them. He would be all nice and stuff, and would ask to hang out when he's bored and what not.
Nick does this as a quest to gain experience so he can level up to the point where he can be a match for these attractive chicks.
By talking to "not so attractive" girls he can improve his conversational skills without being nervous and he can have people to hangout with when he's bored. It is a win/win right? However, the main question is would this be considered leading someone on. The guy doesn't romantically flirt with any of these girls. He is just nice (not a pushover) and talkative.
We all got to start at a low level and then rise up by racking in experience, right?
